Kashi Yatra Stay
A simple hall stay near the Ganga where your group can cook familiar meals — for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam yatris.
Kasi Yatra
Many South Indian families and groups travel to Kashi (Kasi) for darshan at Kashi Vishwanath, a Ganga snan and prayers.
Food is often the biggest worry on a long yatra. At Maa Sharda Homestay your group can cook in a common kitchen, so you can prepare familiar meals such as rice, sambar or your regional dishes, and keep food in the fridge. The Ganga is 10 meters away, and boats near the homestay go along the ghats towards Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
Many yatra groups combine Kashi with Prayagraj (Sangam), Ayodhya and Gaya. Prayagraj is roughly 120 km from Varanasi, Ayodhya roughly 200 km and Gaya roughly 250 km by road, so plan travel time carefully. Two to three nights in Varanasi give you time for darshan, the Ganga Aarti, a boat ride and Sarnath.
